The Seams Are The Whole Story
Cheaper LVP can leave visible gaps at the seams once it's installed and settles in over time. Joe's read after installing an 860-square-foot Lifeproof floor: there were absolutely no gaps in the finished flooring. That's the difference between a floor that looks good on install day and one that still looks good a year later.
Waterproof Matters More Than The Marketing Says
Nearly every LVP product markets itself as waterproof. In practice, how well it actually holds up around a kitchen sink, a bathroom, or a mudroom varies. Joe recommends Lifeproof specifically because it holds up to the water exposure a normal household actually puts a floor through, not just a lab test.
