Plumbing problems are rarely just what you can see. Joe has pulled toilets set in cast-iron pipe corroded from age, pressure-drained a leaking water heater in a fraction of the usual time using flex hose, run new ProPress copper lines, and replaced failed shower valves and cast pipe leaking straight onto a floor below. He's also handled the kind of plumbing-adjacent problems that don't show up until something fails: bathroom exhaust fans that were run into a ceiling cavity instead of outside, which two separate customers only discovered when the house failed a sale inspection over it.
That last one is a good example of how Joe works: one job started as a ceiling stain, and the real cause turned out to be a dryer vent and bathroom exhaust fan both dumping hot, humid air into the space between floors, condensing on cold freshwater pipes overhead and dripping onto the drywall until it fell in. Joe traced the airflow, corrected the venting with proper inline one-way flaps so the two systems couldn't blow into each other, and rehung the drywall.
